The secretary of my most hard to please client called and after 10 minutes back and forth I managed to get that her boss was unable to logon.
When he attempted logon he gets a message stating that there is no logon sever available to validate the password.
Like I said this is my most hard to please client and I don’t want to go down there thinkiing I can easily solve the problem and find out I can’t.
The facts are that he is running a 98 machine and the server is NT. The server is working fine as other non 2000 machines can be seen. No one else has this problem.
When I go over there I’ll look at
1) his network point, see if I can logon with my laptop from that point.
2) Is the server really up and running (its hard to get technical info some people)
3)Check his tcp/ip settings to see if anyone has been playing around with it.
Is there anything else I should look at ?
