No DOS install for XP?

By Ian Boothby ·
So how do I install XP on my Compaq presario when there is no option in the BIOS to choose boot devices. I fdisk'd & formatted the HD, but it will not boot the CD or install from the RUN command. All I get now is "invalid system disk"

Just a side note:

There are 4 different versions of the XP startup floppy creation file.
Home
Pro
W/SP1 W/O SP1
Make sure that you get the correct file for your version of XP.
