No ethernet on W10 after dual-boting with LM

I dual-booted Linux Mint and W10 (I was originally on W10) and after dual booting, I have no ethernet connection on W10. I tried reinstalling drivers, but it didn’t work at all. Any idea how to solve this?

I remember I had the issue the other way around: no internet in Linux if Windows was hibernating in stead of shut down. Maybe this is the reverse.

Installing Linux doesn’t change anything to Windows. It only changes the boot sector (and of course, a partition or two on the hard disk). So having it installed shouldn’t change anything inside Windows.

        and yet, here we are…..
I looked in several forums with exactly the same issue after installing LM as a dual boot system.

I stopped dual booting years ago when the ability to run Linux on a flash drive with persistence became available…..
