No experience no work heeelp!

By roxbury83 ·
How can a fresh IT school graduate obtain a job in the IT field with out any related work experience?.Most, well all IT hiring managers expect you to have some kind of work back ground with the letters IT in it.
We cannot gain the experience if we cant land our dream job and yes I've herd of volunteering but that means i would have to convince them to take the risk.right?

Tried the Career Center?

by CharlieSpencer In reply to No experience no work hee ...

You're a fresh graduate; doesn't the school have a career assistance center?

Have you had someone proofread your resume? While online posts are usually not indicative of one's writing capabilities, I would reject a resume with the poor grammar and spelling of your post. Communications skills are as important as technical ones.

What's this we stuff?

by Tony Hopkinson In reply to No experience no work hee ...

Lots of your peers, asked this question two years ago, did more than heard about volunteering, and probably got themselves a job...

You didn't compete with them, now you can't.

A quick glance at general IT news would have told you, you needed to get off your arse. Now witha bare resume, you've told every recruiter and potential employer that you are some "the word owes me a living type"
You are going to find it really hard now, step one, get off your arse. Your dream job is always going to be that if you don't.
