when trying to open a .jpg file the error comes up 'no file format found in the registry'. How do you fix this?

The extension is not recognised or associated with a program to open it so go through my computer to the file and open it and a box should appear to select nwhat program to open it with and you can take internet explorer or paint or adobe photo delux , whatever image program you have. Save the association and the next time it'll open it just fine.

Or just go to www.apple.com & download Quicktime which comes w/ a picture viewer which you can view .gif, .jpg, etc. type files.
