I have a pc, at startup, does not recognize the c: drive. Instead I get three examples of why the c: drive is not detected. 1. There is no FAT32 or FAT16 partition – recommends Fdisk. 2. The user was using a 3rd party partitioning software..etc. 3. Some viruses cause the c: to go undetected. I tried booting from a startup disk to no avail…all I get is the A:\. I asked the individual if they tried partitioning their c: (thinking they may have partitioned the entire drive), they claim theydon’t know what that means. They want me to format and do a clean install of the OS. BUT, I can’t get passed the A:\ and I always get the “no fixed disk detected”…what do I do now? Can this hard drive be saved?
