Get 400 points !
after installing my computer i worked on it for 1 week. now if i open microsoft word 97 (SR2) or wordpad i cannot find any fonts in the fonts-pulldown-list except Roman 10cpi.
I had the same problem months ago on my pc at home butnow it's in my company and i DONT want to reinstall this fu* pc the xxxxth time. All other programs like Excel, MS Visual Basic/C/etc... or even programs from other vendors are finding all fonts.
the fonts are registered well, too.
please help me,'caus MS doesnt know anything 'bout that.

i have all actual service packs, patches etc... and it doesn't work, too.
i think it is a failure in a dll called from
word/wordpad to retrieve the fonts, or it's
an overflow.
i have installed 180 fonts (standard+IE fonts+selected fonts from corel draw).

RealFlex is waiting and gives 400 Points to YOU if you can help !

This is not an answer, but a suggestion...

Go to the printer folder and change the default printer to another printer. Start Word and see if it's there. Then change it back...

Like mentioned above open the printer folder and make sure your printer is installed.
If your printer is not installed, install it and make it the default printer.
If the printer you use is installed change it to be the default if it is not already.

Hi

I had a similar problem some time back. Turned out to be that you only get to see the fonts that are supported by the selected printer in Print Setup (mine was a Generic Text Only one). Changing this to a 'real' printer seemed to clear it up(which is probably why other apps work OK). Hope that helps, and yes, I felt really foolish after going through several installs, re-installs, and calls to the support desk. lo

Hi Guys,
the 1st time i read your responses I thought you are kidding me... but: IT WORKED !
i couldn't imagine, that MS only shows up fonts i can print because i even could write a document without printing it. doesn't MS know something 'bout Mail ? That's crazy. Isn't it ?
I Dont know what happens if i press "Rate" but I wish to give the points to all of you.
ps: to LO: How did you find out (mail me mg@i-online.cc) ?!?!
