No FTP in IIS on 2003 R2 Domain Controller

By ctwith3 ·
I just installed Server 2003 R2 on my server last night (only server on the network).

Dell Poweredge 840
3.0 GHZ Dual Core
Win Server 2003 R2
2GB RAM
Adaptec 2420SA RAID 10
4 X WD2500KS 250GB HDD's
Broadcom Net Extreme

I chose to make it a primary domain controller because I need to have a Mac user backup to it via Retrospect, and the only other way on a non-PDC is to ftp to a mac shared folder. Install went fine, and I added the roles of file server and application server. Active Directory was installed and is running(by default), and by default it also added the role of DNS server as well.
As I did when it was a simple stand-alone server, I went into IIS admin to configure the FTP server service (to define a different directory than the InetPub FTP root) and there was no FTP service listed. Web service is up and running, but no FTP.
Can someone please tell me why this is? Should I uninstall and reinstall IIS?

you'll have to add it

Control Panel/Add-remove programs
goto Windows Components
goto Application server and select details
goto IIS and select details
now make sure FTP services is checked.

I won't even ask why you would want to install FTP on a DC, probably not the most secure move.
