Are you currently logged into a windows NT network, or are you using a workstation or laptop that is not connected? If you are logged in, is the domain in question available? Can other workstations see this domain? The problem may be that a server or segment is not available at the moment; hard to know without more information.

Sounds like you lost a trust to another domain.

one of the service account password has been changed but the service is still running with the old one. Check your services to make sure it is updated.

Right-click on My Computer, click the Hardware Profiles tab. For each "Available Hardware Profile", click Properties. Make sure that the "Network disabled hardware profile" is not checked under the "Network" tab.
