No network access after configuring Routing and Remote Access (RRAS) Ws2003

by ransfordbotwey . Updated 18 years, 4 months ago

Can someone please give me some help?. My Win2003 server disappeared from the network after in configured and activated Routing and Remote Access. No workstation can find it on the LAN. All ping attempts fail. From the server itself, I can ping only its own IP and 127.0.0.1. All attempts to repair the connection fail and reports that l should delete the arp-cache. I tried to delete the arpcache with the netsh command, but it did not work. I get back access to the network only if l stop the “Routing and RAS” service – after wich a network-connection repair becomes successful.
Stopping the “Routing and RAS” service also disables my VPN connection and no one can connect to the Server from outside. I need to give some of my users Remote access to the server. Could someone please help me out with some hints? Thanks

R
