No one in Network Neighborhood

From a windows 98 box to a nt 4.0 server I get my drive mappings however I can see no one in the neighborhood?

Check Name resolution.

Is the 98 workgroup the same as the domain name?

Yes it is in the same workgroup and domain. I have made that mistake to many times.

If you are not using DHCP to assign WINS, then make sure you have the correct ip address of the WINS server entered in under you TCP/IP protocol settings.

Check if you have the client for Microsoft networks installed?

Yes one of the first things checked, I removed, rebooted then reinstalled. No luck

Yes I tryed NetBeui, I have seen in the past where this helps, not sure why but did not work in this case.

Add an lmhosts file to the client using the proper #PRE and #DOM entries and the server(s) will show up in Network Neighborhood.

Not sure how to do this can you tell me where this IMHOSTS file should live and how to come up with the proper #PRE and #DOM entryis?
