I am working on a Dell Inspiron 1501 laptop.
A blank screen would appear during bootup displaying nothing but a cursor and go no further. The only way to get to my apps was to keep booting the system. Eventually I would able to get to my desktop.
I since decided to reinstall Vista Home. I have listed my CDRom first to do this. When I insert my OS I get a message “No Operating System Found” and nothing else happens. I also installed a new DVD/ROM but I still get that message. I’ve tried the Ultimate Boot Disk and other boot utilities but it just goes back to the “No Operating Found” message. I want to be able to reinstall my OS but this is stopping me from doing so. Any help with this problem will be deeply appreciated.
