When I open email I never have any of the pictures showing. I get all the text but no photos. I have my email set for HTML. Can it be something else?

This will depend upon what program you are using. Microsoft Outlook Express usually displays images as an automatic process at the bottom of the e-mail. However, in some versions it may not actually accept the image if the security setting is too high (I don't knwo why).

Check this setting by opening OE and going 'Tool' >> 'Options' >> 'Security' and check that the circle (radion button) beside 'Internet Zone' is activated with a blue dot, and not the 'Restricted sites zone'

Apart from this I dont know what could be wrong, try checking with Microsoft for an OE update or patch and see if it fixes things.

it depends what file type is the photo. It is in general a xxx.jpg file which you have to open with a player, such as Windows Media Player, for example. If you know the file type then you can search on the internet with the argument of this filetype( like .jpg). This will show you for sure the media player you have to use.
Good luck
