No post no beep/hit reset it works fine

O/S WINXP
AMPTRON K7-810XLM MB
AMB 1.0G PROCESSOR.

When cold booting I have an issue where there is no post no beep, hwever if I just hit the reset button it works fine. while this is little more than annoying I thought I would ask for suggestions
