No Post, No Beeps, Replaced Everything, Going Insane

by dsgoen . Updated 17 years, 4 months ago

1. Computer runs fine for 14 months.
2. System (Vista x64) suddenly decides that it doesn’t recognize my USB mouse. Gives error message to that effect.
3.I shutdown successfully with keyboard (also USB).
4. Power button is pushed. Systems turns on for about 1 to 2 seconds and then immediately shuts off. This isn’t enough time for it to get to the system checks. For example, if I pull the memory, it still shuts off immediately with no beeps.
5. Literally everything in the PC is systematically replaced except the Power Button. Motherboard, memory, power supply, CPU, heatsink, etc. Same problem.
6. I pulled the motherboard and the power supply from the case to check for shorts. Connected only two power cables and system fan. Still fails immediately.

I am extremely confused and seriously depressed. Anyone have any ideas?
