I wanted to restore my system after a bad app install, but the System Restore wizard did not have any restore points from which to choose. It didn’t even have a calendar. At the top of the window, where the calendar would be, there was a date of Dec 30th 1899. The date in CMOS & in Windows was ok, so I could not understand why it was giving such a date.
I had used system restore before with no problems. The last time I used it was about a week ago to create a restore point, just before formating my secondary HDD from NTFS to FAT32 (Win2K to WinME) and coping about 6GB of MP3s from my primary to my secondary HDD. I did the formating with Partition Magic. Everything else seems to be working ok.
I tried to create a restore point to see if it would take but it did not even after rebooting. How do I get System Restore to work again?
