No save log on check-box for mapped drives

I have a computer on our network that I am trying to map to a network drive on our domain. the issue I am running into is that I do not have the check box to save the log on information for the mapped drive. I have done this before and all the times that I have the check box that will let me save the log on information has appeared, but on this computer does it not.

This computer is running windows XP Pro can not be joined to the domain.

where do I need to go in windows to enable the check box?
