no sound from boston acoustic speakers

After upgrading a Gateway from ME to Xp there is no sound from the Boston Acoustic speakers. Every other speaker set I have tried will work, but not the Boston Acoustics. I have updated the sound card drivers(Soundblaster Live), and downloaded the patch that is supposed to fix it but no luck. Any Ideas?
