No Startup Tone

Sir,
its happening more often, that my PC shut down automatically and then it don't restarts..
and
also sometimes when i switch on my PC..i can't here start up tone...and there is not dispaly on the monitor as well..
but after 8 or 9 tries..i start working as normal...and after two three hours.it shut down again in same manner..
i couldn't fine out the problem..
also I have to slots of RAM 32 MB each..but the memory shown here after memory test is just 48 MB..
can anyone help me please...

Your power supply is defective and needs to be replaced.

regarding the memory.
2*32=64
64-48=16 is being used by your onboard videocard.
powersupply problem and or cooling problem, the pc/motherboard or cpu is getting to hot, thats why it turning off.

Likely an overheating problem. Check the system and CPU fans. Could be a dust build up, try blowing out the case.

If your system gas 64Mb RAM fitted then it should read allof it the video card has it's own VRAM and won't affect the system RAM.
If you really have 2 x 32 then check they are
1. In the cottect slots
2. correctly seated
3. a matched pair(depending on system)
4. have clean contacts
Try running with just one (if your system supports it).
Also as prevously stated random rebooting is a classic PSU fault symptom.
