No Transport Provider Message in Outlook
I’m stumped on this one anyone who helps it will be greatly appreciated. First, to eliminate the obvious guesses – Yes I checked Internet connectivity , its fine (Fractional T-1 256kb). Yes I checked the Internet email settings (it worked fine for everyone for about a year and a half, no changes were made). We use NT for our NOS, Win 95/98 for clients. Outlook 97 is our email program (some have Outlook 2000).
I’m truly stumped at this point – we outsource our Internet email services and our email company says all is fine on their end as far as thier equipment and settings go. They also said they could ping our end fine.
What happens is in-office email communication is fine, but at certain times someone will get an “No transport Provider for this Recipient” system error and the mail won’t go. To complicate the matter further it seems to be happening with the “luck of the draw” – sometimes the mail goes and sometimes it doesn’t.
Itsfrustrating my users and to be honest its driving me crazy myself now. I’d think it was an issue of clogging the bandwidth but then why is everyone able to view websites so easily?
