I recently purchased a new P4 2.0 Ghz with DDR SDRAM. After a bout with loose power commectors and a fix for that the machine will only come on with lights only. That is the power floppy zip and CD’s will go through the light on sequence. Then the HDD light is on for about a minute. Then nothing , no video or boot. Can’t even get a BIOS screen. What I have done is: replace the motherboard,processor and checked the PCI cards on other machines with success. I have detached all ribbon conneted hardware down to a mainboard only with processor and memory onboard and still no video or BIOS. Checked the power supply with all voltages showing correct. The only thing that I haven’t swaped out in this system is the memory. Only because a swap is notavailable without cash. Has anyone there ever experienced this problem and if so what is the fix?? Need help! Went back and checked all components and connections for a sure fit. Nothing.
