When i go to boot up my computer the machine comes on but i get no signal from the monitor. I tried replacing the video card but it did the same exact thing. The monitor comes on but immediatly goes back to stand by because it cannot see a signal from the computer.

Reseat the video card and the memory.
You could have bad memory.

try taking our all the other installed cards leaving only the video card and try again. i am sure problem may not be mem or bad vid card, but possibly one bad pci card affecting the others

You could have a bad AGP or PCI slot (depending on what type of Video Card you are using). If you are using an AGP video card try replacing it with a PCI card, if you are using a PCI card try it in a different slot.
