No VLAN support on Cisco 1720

by smajot . Updated 16 years, 9 months ago

Hi guys,

I’m trying to create several vlans on a 1720 router. IOS is IP PLUS IPSEC 3DES.

I’m running into problems when I try to add the “encapsulation dot1q” command in the subinterface.

I was under the impression that IP PLUS feature set allows vlans. Not to mention Cisco’s vlan walkthrough for 1700 series says it should work:

Any ideas?
