No Windows 98

by quietenterprises@yahoo . Updated 25 years ago

I was working for a friend when the computer just shut down in the middle of what I was doing.
I received the this error once the computer rebooted.
“While initializing device VKD:
Windows protection error. You need to restart your computer.

Press any key to continue”

If I press any key or just do nothing the computer displays the “It is now safe to turn off your computer” message.

I don’t know where to go with this error because I never saw it before in my years dealing with computers.

CPU stats:
120 MHZ – Pentium I
AMIBIOS – CMOS – Setup
32 MB
PRIMaster – HD
PRISlave – CD-ROM

any help will be greatly appreciated
