No wireless connection after startup

by sannhto . Updated 18 years, 2 months ago

Hi!

We have a problem with a couple of laptops that are using only a wireless connection. Afetr startup the wireless has “limited or no connectivity” and after a repair it works just fine. The signal strenth is “excellent”. I’ve seen a lot of similar problems but not a solution that has worked for us.

The computers are part of a domain and I’ve tried putting the release/repair in a startup script but that didn’t do it. You have to do it manually.

The connection is the only one in the list of wireless networks so it should try to connect to that one first.

This has become a major issue for me since I every morning have to run and do the repair thing on the user’s computer.

It’s an HP 6715b with the Broadcom adapter. Would a static IP take care of it? Or should I try installing Broadcom’s own software for wireless connections?
