I am supporting a user who would like to hook a Nokia 7160 cell phone to the Serial port of his laptop and use it as an external modem.
2 things not happening correctly:
1) Windows 95 is not activating Plug and Play when we hook the phone to theSerial port–it eventually finds it after you do Add New Hardware and let it search for a while
2) Don’t have the correct driver for the phone–the CD the user received with the phone has Nokia 7190 drivers, not for the 7160. No help from Nokia onthis issue–their Tech Support didn’t know what I was talking about!
Any help would be appreciated.
