How do I make a non dos partition on a hard drive I formated. Should I go into setup and do it from there.
Thanks
Sean

If you do not want to re-format and re-partition...

Then you will need to look at utilities that can do this without touching the programs/data currently on your hard disk drive. Utilities such as System Commander, Partition Magic, etc.

If this hdd is formatted but unused, you might want to run fdisk, delete all partitions, and recreate partions to your specifications. Then reformat each partition.

You need to be a little more detailed on what your tring to do ? what is this hard drive being use for? which non-dos partion do you want ? fat32, ntfs, novel, etc? depending on what your going to use this drive for will help answer your question

First thing is, you can't format a partition not even created. Your statement makes no sense.

"Should I go into setup and do it from there."

Yeah, sure....
