Non-persistent shares under Windows 2000

By Castaway Kid ·
I have a Windows 2000 Professional PC with an Adaptec AHA-2930CU PCI SCSI adapter installed. Attached to this is a 7 bay CD tower. I've shared all 7 of these CDs to the network. We shut down this PC every night. In the morning, the last CD drivewill no longer be shared to the network. I can reshare the drive and it will work fine the rest of the day, but the next morning the same thing happens. Any ideas what may be causing this?

Try putting it to a default share, instead of "Sharename=Cdromtower" use "Sharename=CDromTower$" use the dollar sign and see if that helps..

As best we can determine, Adaptec claims it is a BIOS incompatibility.
