Noob at script, need some help

Hello, I am trying to make something happen automatically and I know a script is the best way to handle it but I don’t know enough about them to write one.
I am trying to make a specific video open WinMediaPlayer and play it in Full screen. Full screen has a keyboard shortcut and “Send Keys” should do it but I can’t get it to work.

I am able to open the file using the Scheduled tasks and get it to play so all I need is to send “alt+” to wmp and it will go into full screen and I’ll be good. Can some one give some pointers as to what I need to do? Or what the heck this is supposed to look like.
I’ve tried a few tutoring sites and I guess I’m just too obtuse to understand it.
