Norcent LCD Monitor

By kimdallas ·
I am fixing a monitor that starts out dim on one side and bright on the other. After about 2 hours the other side becomes just as bright as the rest of the monitor. I have never seen this before and I have been looking for troubleshooting and repair tips everywhere and I see none. I know that since it does not start off bright and get dim that it is unlikely that the inverter is the problem but I figure that the backlight is giving out. Does anyone know if this is even cost effective to fix, or has any repair tips for it?

I think you'll find that you have got your Diagnosis back the Front

If the unit is not Dim all over it is unlikely to be the Back Light and more likely to be the Inverter.

I would however be looking at the Control Circuit for the Display as the possible culprit here. As for if it is Economical to repair that all depends on the Availability and Cost of the Spare Parts, but from personal experience if it not being fixed by the Agent Under Warranty it's not worth repairing.
