I downloaded Norton Antivirus 2009 trial version.
My operating system is Windows XP.
My Windows XP Firewall was turned off.
I had installed Zone Alarm Free Firewall instead.
My computer was working normally.
I wanted to install an Antivirus on my computer.
I did a backup of my important files of my hard disk drive.
I tried to install Norton Antivirus 2009 in this configuration.
The setup succeeded.
I launched the Antivirus.
My computer froze.
There was a conflict between Norton Antivirus 2009 and Zone Alarm Free Firewall.
I rebooted my computer.
I tried to uninstall the Antivirus as quickly as I could.
It began.
After a few seconds, my computer froze again.
I rebooted my computer again.
I tried to uninstall Zone Alarm Free Firewall as quickly as I could.
My computer froze again.
I had to reboot my computer from the CD-ROM of my operating system to format my hard disk drive.
I reinstalled my operating system.
I had to install all my drivers.
It worked.
I installed Norton Antivirus 2009.
I didn’t setup Zone Alarm Free Firewall.
My computer worked again.
Please tell me why there is such a strong conflict between Norton Antivirus 2009 and Zone Alarm Free Firewall.
