Norton Systemworks and Linux

By Samuel C. ·
I have a DualBoot Windows XP Pro that I added
Red Hat 8 too.
My Norton Antivirus License is running out so I purchased Systemworks.
One of the Modules is Get Back.
This caused Linux to stop working as if I did not have enough Memory.
Disabling Get Back took over an hour.
Now everything is OK again!
Anybody had similar experiences?

Norton Systemworks and Linux

Yes! Norton products do like linux drives, bootloaders, etc. From time to time you will find strange problems with norton insisting linux drives are unformated windows drives, memory unavailablility etc. If your running linux for windows try using native linux to reduce norton interference. if your sole purpose of having norton is for anti-virus uninstall everything but anti-virus and when you need a norton feature on the odd occasion just run the feature from cd.

hope this helps
