Norton Utiliies and “invalid system…”

by cru000 . Updated 24 years, 7 months ago

I was running version 4 of Norton Utilites on my Windows 98 (FAT 32) and twice, I would run the Disk Optimizer and all of a sudden one of two things would happen. The hardrive was wiped and labeled as “an invalid” media format, or when I had Win 2000 and Win 98 installed and runned Disk Optimizer on Win 98 I would get a “invalid system disk.” When trying to boot into Win98. Could someone add closure to this. Is it the version program I was using? I just bought Norton Utillites 2001 and I hope to god it was the version of Norton I was using. Let me know!
