not able to install msn messener

Hi,iam using Pentium III 600 Mhz,with 128MB Ram and 20Gb Hdd,with windows 98 second edition,when i try to install MSN on my pc,installation aborts with following error,error creating process reason:%1 is not a valid win32 application.
I have formatted my pc twice but both times is gives the same error,can anybody help me in this,
