i am not able to login to domain from a windows xp professional client which is a member of the domain.Only 1 DC is in my network .IP ADDRESS ,SM,DEFAULT GATEWAY ,DNS,all are perfect.Earlier it was logging to domain.But now from last week onwards,not able to login to domain..
The error msg is
“Windows cannot connect to the domain either because the domain controller is down or otherwise unavailable, or because your computer account was not found. Please try again later. If this message continues to appear contact your System Administrator for assistance”
This client was logging with the username and password of a domain account which is using the same logon credentials in another client pc which is a member of the same domain.And also earlier, the another pc and this problem pc computer name was same named as “bala”.
I changed the computer name of another pc to “bala1” and the problem computer is now “bala” and was able to login to domain successfully before last week .Later it is not able to login to domain..
Please give me a solution to this..
