not detecting the hard disk

i had copied some date from my friends harddisk he has windows7 on his pc
when i connected my harddisk to his pc i connected as spanned disk and copied some data. when iam connecting that hard disk on my pc as secondary harddisk it is not showing any thing
i checked in diskmanagement the hard disk is detecting but it is showing that the entire hard disk has free space means that there is no data on that hard disk
my pc has windows XP sp2 .

plz help me on getting data that data is important for me

You may be able to reconnect to that computer and get your Data off the drive but realistically that is your only chance.

After you get your Data off the Drive when it's connected to the same Windows 7 Computer reformat the drive as a Slave and copy your Data back to it.

If you can not get the data off the Spanned Drive under the same computer with 7 on it without a reload being applied and you really need the data your only option is a Specialist Data Recovery House who can possible recover badly formatted drives.

Once you make spanned disk across two hard drive, that makes the OS see it as one disk. if you seperate the pair, they cannot be read indiviually.
