    Not enough storage available

    Locked

    by reference ·

I have a brand new P4 – 1 gig DDR400 Ram, 80 gig SATA Hard Drive Running WindowsXP Pro SP1. Loaded Corel Draw 11 on the system, and sometimes get an error “Not enough storage available to complete this operation” I haven’t been able to determine whether this is a Corel error, or Windows error. It comes up in a box with a red x in the corner, and the only thing I can do to get rid of it is to end task on Corel. I then of course, loose my changes since my last save. Has anybody seen this behavior before? I have gotten nowhere searching the internet for clues! Help!!

This message has been around since NT4 days.

Basically the way I always fix it is to either.

      1) Re-apply the latest service pack
      2) Update to the latest service pack

Seeing as its a new machine I would guess option 2 is required.

And then ensure you have the latest drivers for important things like

      – Motherboard
      – Videocard
      – Audio

yes, go to windowsupdate and put on latest service pack, then all critical updates. it will be a major deal if you have dial-up internet connectivity. do you have a friend with dsl? after the service packs and critical updates, then have a look a recommended updates. there is one for application compatibility, might be worth a try. Corel doesn’t have any clues about this error?

It’s brand new, latest updates for Windows, and hardware. And so far, I’ve gotten nothing out of Corel regarding this issue.
