Not getting full space in SATA HDD while using windows server 2000

by vinetsinghal . Updated 18 years, 9 months ago

Hi All

I have one SATA HDD 400gb and when I am trying to use this HDD in Windows Server 2000, I am not getting full space. I got only 127 GB. What is the procedure. I have already used this procedure which I got from net

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\atapi\Parameters

To enable 48-bit LBA large-disk support in the registry:
1. Start Registry Editor (Regedt32.exe).

2. Locate and then click the following key in the registry:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Atapi\Parameters

3. On the Edit menu, click Add Value, and then add the following registry value:
Value name: EnableBigLba
Data type: REG_DWORD
Value data: 0x1

4. Quit Registry Editor.

Anybody can solve my problem
