I have a puter here that gets to the third dot on blue screen during boot then tells me the dll for winsrv is missing or corrupt. I have gone in with boot disks and replaced it, even took drive into another machine and replaced the ntdetect file butit still won’t boot. I can access all files from another machine but this one just won’t boot. During the repair, I replace all the files but at the end it tells me that certain files cannot be replaced. I have narrowed these down to files that are updated with service pack5(winnt)….any ideas out there? Is it the MBR? a virus?
thanks
Mike
