not powering after reseating memory

by elvenbishop . Updated 18 years, 2 months ago

here a bit of story i did with my pc desktop. i tried playing with the bios and did the following : i reset the memory speed from 533-667 mhz and when the pc restarted, no display came up. i tried reseating all the components including the cmos battery but it did not give out any display…here’s the fun part : i tried to take out the memory and power it in; here’s what happened : the fans indicates that they are receiving power and everything moves normally (except that there is no display) but when i reseat the memory, the pc does not power at all…if you guys can help me figure out what the problem, i would be grateful or if someone can tell me how to get to the bios to reset it, THAT WILL BE GREAT..and i promise not to play with the bios again..(i promise, cross my heart and hope to…)
