not printing from dos!

By skumar8692 ·
i have windows 2000, at work, we still use one dos based program. last couple of days i am unable to print anything from dos based programs, but can print from windows and internet. i have tried reinstalling and rebooting, but nothing seems to work. i have also checked in printers folder under properties. everything seems to be ok. what could be the problem?

DOS app probably came with its own DOS mode printer driver. Need to check printer settings in that program.

Also verify that Spool DOS Print Jobs is disabled in Windows printer configuration.

DOS requires a printer connected via LPT1:, you need to either have a printer installed in Windows using LPT1 or use NET USE LPT1: \\pcname\sharename to connect a shared printer to LPT1.
