not receiving mail from a particular recipient

I can send email to a particular recipient and he calls me to to say he recieves mail. he then goes further to ask me if I received his reply but nver do. I don’t have problem of receiving email from anyone else except this recipient. i send the mails from ‘yahoo’ and he uses ‘hotmail’. I would be glad if any of you geeks can help.
