Not seeing Flash Drive in Explorer

By luv2bike2 ·
When I put any Flash drive on this one particular Workstation (WS) I can not see it in Explorer, however, if i go into word or excel and do file open i can see the flash drive. If I connnect the Flash drive on this WS and log off and log back in, I can see it in Explorer. This is a pain the butt for the user. I installed TweakUI to see if that would help but it did not. I can connect the Flash Drives on any other WS and it will come up in Explorer. Any Idea why this is happening?

Thanks

what OS are you using? are there any other drives mapped other than c and d? look in the event viewer and see if there are any hardware install warings/errors. I have seen this happen when it is trying to assign it a drive letter that is already taken by a mapped drive.
