I Have a Dell Insperon 1720 laptop. recently after I wiped the hard drive the screen doesn’t get to the max brightness like when its plugged in, effectively making it only useful when plugged in. I have tried the fn + brightness key but it get to a point where I can barely read the screen. i have also played with the power setting for the computer but it didn’t help. any ideas?
