NOVA T PCI TUNER CARD Terre freeview

By posti ·
I have been trying to instal/run 'nova t pci' autoscan channels turning out to be a nightmarish thing. I did manage it twice, second time it worked perfect at night the following morning channels were there but no picture or sound when you click on them. Everytime I reinstall drivers/application I don't go past 'Autocan' channels. You click nothing happens goes back to autoscan. Once it picked up 45 channels. I have Norton antivirus and 'Mozilla Firefox' plus 'Internet Explorer' 'Microsoft Office Pro' and 'Windows XP with service pack 2' all Legit software. Reaally getting fedup. Manufactuere support not very helpful. Anyone please help?

Well we don't see that brand of Video Capture Card hare but I've worked with many of the things with out a problem. The first thing is that you have a software conflict so try moving the PCI card to a different PCI slot there could be a DMA conflict. This happens most often with an AGP M'Board when the card is plugged into PCI 1 but I've had the same problem with NIC's as well. If you have every PCI slot filled move a couple of the cards around and that will probably fix the problem.

With the older TV cards you had to first install the drivers and then the software but with the newer ones you cancel out of the Hardware setup wizard and just install the software which first installs the drivers and then the software and should just work.

Failing that it's a reinstall of Windows which is a real pain none of the listed software should cause a conflict but it could very well be a hardware conflict that is happening here which makes things look like a software problem.

Sorry that should have read Hardware Conflict not Software Conflict.

Also have you downloaded the latest software for the card that might help no end.

Thanks for the help. It appears that I had problem with 'C Media AC97' software which was not installing properly. Once that was installed the card now works.
