Novell 4.2 server re-boots.

By shreyascom ·
I have a Pentium iii wih 64MB, 20GB loaded Novell 4.2. The machine works fine most of the time, but suddenly restarts. The error
message says 'memory may be corrupt', but there is no problem with the memory. There is no problem with power supply.

Novell 4.2 server re-boots.

First and formost, memory is cheap get more. 64MB barely runs Windows these days of bloat. Check out Novell Support knowledgebase for TID# 2944438 NetWare Server Setup Checklist.
What tye of memory is it?
Secondly, need more info:
Which supportpack are you using? It should be SP9 or at least 8a.
What brand of computer or motherboard? Is it on Novell's approved hardware list.
Most importantly what brand of NIC? Inexpensive or malfunctioning NICs will almost surely cause rebooting.
