Novell file compression

By dzone ·
Does anyone know of any software that uncompresses files. The files were compressed on a Novell server.

What are these files on now. You can just "set compression off" on the server.

Novell's file compression is merely to save space whilst not in use. The files are uncompressed on the fly when a client accesses them.
If they were not compressed by Novell's storage, then a third party will have been used, and the fact the fileswere on a Novell server is irrelevant.
The most common format is ZIP which is native to PKZIP or WINZIP and supported by practically all compression programs.
Others are ARJ, RAR, LHA, ARC. If the files were used by a Mac, then they may well be Stuffit archives.
You haven't really given enough information for me to help any more at this stage
