Novell Groupwise replication in progress

By ginman ·
I am new to Groupwise and I am having the same
problem. Whenever I move a user from one
container to another container using move, it
moves the user in NDS and sometimes it moves the
user in Groupwise but, like you, when I click on
the user in either the Groupwise window or the NDS
window and select details in Nwadmin I get your
problem number 1. However, the user does get to
use their email. This replication process goes on
forever. There are a couple of accounts that were
moved before I got there, appox 2 months ago that
are still doing the replication.

Yesterday I moved a user from container 1 to
container 2 and the NDS move went fine. The
Groupwise move did not. The user is not in
Groupwise container 1 or Groupwise container 2. I
cannot even delete the user in NDS now.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Gary

Please check Novell's Knowledge base at http://support.novell.com/servlet/Knowledgebase. If you search on 'move user' you will find a number of hits. TID #2942690 is a place to start.

Try adding a file called GWSUPP.FIL in the root of the C:-drive of the PC where you run NWADMN32.exe. It can be an empty file, it just has to be there. The next time you launch NWADMN32.exe, an additional Groupwise Administration submenu will be available in the tools menu. In this administration thingie you can, for example, connect and disconnect NDS and Groupwise users.
