Novell Migration to Windows 2000 Server

I installed Novell Client for windows on Windows SMB 2000 server with MSDSS for directory synchronization. However, when I try to login to Novell it cannot find the tree and the server as a result I cannot migrate. I have installed IP/IPX, Novell Client service, FPNSW. What might be the problem? When I use Gateway for Netware I am able to see the server and access the resources. The novell client is the newest version. i need help!!!
