Here’s my scenario. I’ll try to word it as easy as possible.
All users use Windows XP. Users have mapped drive to our Novell server. All users can map network drive to \\novell\data\. But users will only see the folders they are granted to. For example, Let’s say there are “Sales”, and “Accounting” folder under \\novell\data\. If a user “Dave” only has access to “Sales”, and his mapped drive to \\novell\data\ only shows “Sales” folder. It doesn’t show “Accounting” folder. This is the way I’m trying to configure with Windows file server.
But with Windows file server (Windows R2 2003), it shows both “Sales” and “Accounting” folder under \\windows\data\ mapped drive. How can I let users see only their ALLOWED folders? Is this possible in Windows server?
